Dont'cha just love it when a book starts out with a big strong man coming to the rescue of a girl, saving her from falling down? It's the best. It captures one's attention right out the gate. Anyway to sum it all up...in this first book of this boxed set The Billionaire's Kisses: Billionaire Obsession (Tycoon Billionaires Book 1) ; Amy Carter walked in on her boyfriend cheating on her. Feeling devastated, wounded and vulnerable, she goes out with the girls and unintentionally has a meaningless romp with a charming and handsome American stranger (that is..she wasn't planning for this to happen)... Anyway, he made her body sing for the very first time in her life. Then she finds out this same stranger is her new boss. (...don't'cha just hate it when that happens?) Anyway, now playboy boss man and man-whore Adam Quinlan is on the prowl....for her! Too bad she's not a "one and done" kind'a girl...Nope, Amy Carter is wanting a committed relationship. But of course Adam doesn't do commitment. This romantic story of suspense, murder mystery and futuristic inventions was enjoyable and fun to read. It kept my attention even though there were parts that needed to be fleshed out better. Parts that weren't believable. Like Amy playing a spy and taking chances that seemed out of character for her. Or Amy forgiving Adam so easily when he humiliates and betrays her. The story is fast paced but never seemed rushed. Character descriptions were good...neither strong nor weak. Sex scenes were tastefully portrayed in an erotically mature way. All in all, the story is nicely done.
The downside is all the preposition's that are omitted in sentences forcing the reader to fill them in and decipher the sentence. It doesn't happen often and it's easily remedied....but it happened enough to be frustrating. Still, this first story of this boxed set is the best kind of story. Of a charming and domineering playboy falling fast and hard for a girl....of a girl so wounded she won't allow herself to feel or fall in love.....and when she finally let's her guard down, she comes alive for the first time in her life.
TYCOON BILLIONAIRES BOX SET: BOOK 2; THE BILLIONAIRES AFFAIR... 1-★
What a train wreck. Utterly and completely. This second book of this Box Set was so far removed from the first book, I had to stop and wonder if it was written by the same author. I mean, the first book wasn't great...but it wasn't THIS bad either. There are NO character descriptions for Sarah Newell, the female protagonist of this story. None...as in, zero. And unless you've read the first book The Billionaire's Kisses: Billionaire Obsession (Tycoon Billionaires Book 1), you'll not know what Dylan Quinlan looks like either because this author never mentions it. Not...one...word. How can I connect without a visual??!? Needless to say...I never connected at all.... leaving this story boring and exhausting to read. It was a poor excuse of a romance and should be categorized as a mystery/suspense because the story was more about a murder with a few repetitive erotic scenes thrown in.
Dylan Quinlan is charming with a gruff exterior. He's a very private man bordering on mysterious. His involvement with women is brief --- "one and done" type of thing...no relationships. He doesn't want to fall in love and doesn't believe that emotion exists for him. He's unconquerable. And Sarah Newell in an old flame of Dylan's that he accidentally run's in to while in London after not seeing her for seven years. I almost liked Sarah. The first impression of her was strong and independent...no nonsense and I thought to myself "all right!! But within a few sentences ....literally, a FEW sentences...she's lying down for Dylan and becoming a door mat. It was all waaaaaay too rushed making it not even remotely believable. She quickly lost any admiration that was beginning to grow. I didn't like Sarah lowering herself and falling into bed with Dylan within moments of seeing the previous girl leaving his room. I mean, if you have so little respect for yourself...if you're going to degrade yourself so massively, at least set a price! Lets call it what it is! And the dialogue in this book was SO sappy and cliche'. So adolescent. Take out the erotic sex scenes and you'd have a teen murder mystery written by a teen. Kind of reminiscent of a modern day Nancy Drew Mystery, the dialogue was laughable. I mean within moments of meeting, Dylan says "I want you! I need to "F" you into a frenzy...see you lose control". And this stupid girl says "I need it too". ROFLMBBOOOOOOO!!!! I mean this story was so ridiculously written...so poorly expressed that it became quickly clear that it was nothing more than a pathetically weak excuse to write hilariously cheeezy erotic scenes and disguise it as romance. And that murder mystery? It conveniently solves itself within a few chapters. And the way that Dylan and Sarah break into the Russian mafia's home, undetected, to steal evidence out of a safe???...LOL!!...and when they're caught...they're allowed to leave?? Utterly ridiculous story. (one ★..and that's being kind).
TYCOON BILLIONAIRES BOX SET: BOOK 3; THE BILLIONAIRES REVENGE...2-✮✮'s
Once again the story is rushed...but admittedly not the train wreck that is book #2. Joseph Quinlan is passionate and gritty, yet mischievous and lovable. He's a charismatic wild rock god that owns a stage when he struts out and takes over. Joseph is the youngest in the Quinlan Clan and is doing what he thought he always wanted to do...be a rock & roll star. But his dream of being a famous and professional musician is a nightmare and he's tired of his life not being his own any longer. He's tired of his music being dissected, cut and dismantled by editing, changing it to something unrecognizable. Even worse, everything he does is an open book on display. His privacy is gone.
Eleanor Davison is a young journalist on the cusp of her career blossoming in NYC. It's been her lifelong dream to be an investigative journalist and now her dream is coming true, just not in the way she'd planned. That is, underhanded and deceiving people. I didn't like Eleanor's character at the beginning of this story because she was weak and allowed herself to be used and manipulated for her personal gain. I had no respect for her. But she morphed quite suddenly into a strong, independent woman and my appreciation for her blossomed and grew.
The downside(s) to this story are many. How old is Eleanor? We know that Joseph is 20 because he'd just celebrated that birthdate in book #2...but how old is Eleanor? She's graduated college and for her to have such a head start on her prestigious career tells me she must be at least 25-27...but who knows? The author doesn't tell us. Character descriptions trickle in for Eleanor's character. And what does Joseph look like? Anyone know? I mean, it's not until ch.16 that I find out he's got blond hair. And that's it! How long his hair is...or color of his eyes, dimples, shape of his face, or how tall he is? There's nothing. There are numerous preposition's that are omitted in sentences forcing the reader to fill them in and decipher the sentence. It doesn't happen often ....but it happened enough to be frustrating. It's obvious this author is British because the terminology she uses is foreign, slowing down the plot for anyone not accustomed to such terms. I give this story 2✮'s. I won't be continuing on with Ivan's story.

Tycoon Billionaires Box Set Books 13 Billionaire Box Set edition by Julie Farrell Romance eBooks Reviews
Extremely well written! Can't wait to read the next book. Looking into purchase more of this authors books! Well worth it!
I love the characters of this box set. But to me it was a little boring. I can normally read a book by n a day. This took me about a week to read
Great stories and the writer did not take up but a few paragraphs of the last story each time to cAtch you up. Was exciting and Loved the characters
There are really good stories, but the author does not use her pronouns correctly. Time and time again she uses things like "me and Dylan." Me is NEVER the subject of a sentence-- it is the object. It made reading it harder.
Typical and cliche endings. Great writing though. Very descriptive and creative. Hot when needed to be but wasn't ALL about that which was nice. Plot lines overall good, just a bit toooooo typical at times. I liked that they were all a bit different though even though they're brothers.
Tycoon Billionaires Box Set 1-3, One of the best I have read. I truly wrapped around this series. MY!MY! MY!, WHAT WONDERFUL WRITING!! THE CHARACTERS WERE LIVELY AND INTERESTING THROUGH AND THROUGH. Most pleasurable and enjoyable. Ms. Julie Farrell make it all so adventuresome for us readers. GREAT JOB and THANKS to her and who bring us some of the best...
Just saying!
I was really hoping for more from this author because the story had potential. It just didn't get off the ground and was really not any better in book two or three. I liked the way it started, the characters started really strong but it all went downhill from there. When I found out about Ivan's invention, well then I thought, pie in the sky, really far fetched but I still hung in there and gave it a chance. Happy ever afters aren't really made that way! You don't cheat on one fiancée, break up with him, then find the love of your life and when he says honey will you s** me off when he wakes you, you don't cheerily do it! I'm sorry it just didn't do it for me! That's what Joseph did in the last book and she kept happily saying yes Fter Matthew punched her lights out for leaving him. Twisted logic here. Too many things going on that do not get settled clearly, too many easy women dropping their lives to run to the men.
